Peter started at Curchin right out of college in 1981, and became a partner in 1993. Providing retirement planning and accounting services to small and mid-size businesses, he specializes in tax planning and compliance. He is the co-partner-in-charge of Curchin’s Tax Committee and heads the firm’s 1031 Exchange, LLC, which provides qualified intermediary services for investment or business property owners who sell one property and purchase another property or multiple ones without incurring a current tax liability. He also chairs the Curchin Open, a nine-hole indoor miniature golf tournament to benefit local charities.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, Peter graduated summa cum laude from Rider College with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce. He serves as board treasurer of both the Eastern Area Monmouth Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and the Howell Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation.
Besides spending time with his wife and grown sons, Peter enjoys golfing and fishing, and is also an avid Mets fan and a Jets season ticket holder. You may also find him working in the yard or exploring flea markets and antique stores.
