A new bill, NJ A5607, effective June 30, 2019 has increased the annual report filing fees paid by NJ for-profit and non-profit business entities.
Previous Annual Report Filing Fee (For-Profit): $50
New Annual Report Filing Fee (For-Profit): $75
Previous Annual Report Filing Fee (Non-Profit): $25
New Annual Report Filing Fee (Non-Profit): $30
Timing:
The annual report filing fee paid by for-profit business entities increases from $50 to $75 for all annual reports due on or after July 1, 2019.
The annual report fee paid by non-profit business entities increases from $25 to $30 for all annual reports due on or after July 1, 2019.
What If I Recently Paid the Previous Fee?
Business entities that paid annual report fees prior to July 1, 2019 that were not due until July 31, 2019, August 31, 2019 or September 30, 2019 are not required to pay the increased fee amount.
Additional Note:
The bill also makes structural improvements to the business registration program by eliminating the reinstatement fee for late filing and establishing a grace period for waiver of the tax clearance requirement for recently revoked entities. Effective July 1, 2019, the reinstatement fee of $200 is eliminated.
