The Curchin Group to Hold Essay Competition to Determine Beneficiaries of Tenth Annual Miniature Golf Tournament for CharityMay 7, 2015

RED BANK, N.J. (May 8, 2015) – The Curchin Group, LLC, a mid-sized, full-service accounting firm based in Red Bank, N.J., announced that it will hold an essay submission open to all 501(c)(3) organizations to determine the two beneficiaries of the Tenth Annual Curchin Open, a nine hole indoor miniature golf tournament for charity.

Non-profits located in Monmouth and Ocean Counties are eligible to enter by writing a 250 to 500 word essay detailing the missions of their organizations and how the funds will be used for the greater good. The Curchin Group’s partners will select the winners by June 30, 2015, based on the quality of the essay, the reputation of the organization and the proposed use of Curchin Open proceeds. Last year, with the support of almost 40 corporate and individual sponsors and dozens of participants, the Ninth Annual Curchin Open raised $15,000 for The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore in Manasquan N.J. and HABcore, Inc. in Red Bank, N.J. Since the event started in 2005, the firm has raised more than $120,000.

The Curchin Open takes place at The Curchin Group’s Red Bank office on its team-designed course on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Admission fees are $20 per person, which includes one round of mini golf, food and beverages. All proceeds will benefit the two locally-based charities that will be selected through the essay submission.
